Surely “cancer” is the most frightening word in the English language. We all know someone, a loved one, that’s lost the battle with cancer. And just what exactly is cancer and how does our diet affect whether we get, or survive cancer? I met Steve Trocha about ten years ago through a mutual friend and we’ve been good friends ever since. Steve is a surgical oncologist and cancer researcher with our own GHS and he joined me recently at the farm to discuss his career, his early life on his parents’ farm, and his thoughts on cancer, Eastern medicine, family supper, and Buddhist philosophy.
As an aside, we have a sick chicken and she received some TLC from Steve. Although he wasn’t able to pronouce her healed yet, he commended us on our frontier style doctoring.
